The Old Barfordians (pre 1950)
The group is made up of Barfordians who either themselves, their parents /grandparents or other relatives lived in Great Barford pre 1950.
We are looking for those titbits from the past like old photos, memories of the past or even an old ration book!
You may have recollections of the evacuees or the use of horses for transport,stories of local characters; we could go on and on. (We hope you will)
At present we hold our meetings at the Methodist church on the first Tuesday of the month. (Its best to check times before you come along)
We are at the moment looking for answers, and as you can imagine we already have far more questions than answers so we are not ready for the general public, but if you think you can help with information, photos or recollections of the past give us a call. All pre 1950s Barfordians would be welcome along with their partners.
