Minutes of the Meeting of the Sports Committee held on 3rd March 2010 at the Village Hall Great Barford.

1. To receive and approve APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

2. Declarations of interest in any matter - being prejudicial or personal. There were none.
3. Ground Maintenance – the whole field needs verti-draining, Derrick to seek quotes. Derrick to ask Herbie Davies to install the football posts. Discuss the regular maintenance.
4. Cricket Square – Di Wignell asked to Council if they can add the square to the Councils insurance. Derrick advised that as this was an annual request which had previously been declined it would have to be a Full Council decision.
5. Other Business – The desk in the storage building was surplus to requirements. It was agreed to put it in the next bulky waste collection in May. The nets needed to be replaced to the boundary – clerk to put on council agenda and Di to get a price. The water supply was in hand and quotes will be sought at the earliest convenience. The council files currently in the storage building were getting damp. It was agreed that better storage containers were needed and a working party to sort through them.
